Mini-Circuits has expanded our line of revolutionary reflectionless filters to support even more of your applications. Our XHF2-series of reflectionless high pass filters features 5 new models covering a variety of passbands up to 30 GHz. They provide RF input power handling as high as 1.26W and come housed in tiny 2x2mm QFN packages, giving designers flexibility to use the filters almost anywhere in their PCB layout.
Reflectionless filters employ a novel filter topology, which absorbs and terminates stopband signals internally rather than reflecting them back to the source. This new capability enables unique applications for filter circuits beyond those suited to traditional approaches. Traditional filters are reflective in the stopband, sending signals back to the source at 100% power. These reflections interact with neighboring components and often result in intermodulation and other interferences. Reflectionless filters eliminate stopband reflections, allowing them to be paired with sensitive devices and used in applications that otherwise require circuits such as isolation amplifiers or attenuators.
Model XHF2-153+ has a passband from 15.3 to 30 GHz with a 3 dB frequency cutoff at 14.2 GHz. It provides 1.8 dB passband insertion loss, 2.1:1 passband VSWR, 13.7 dB stopband rejection, 2.2:1 stopband VSWR, and 1.26W RF input power handling in the passband (0.16W in the stopband). Model XHF2-912+ has a passband from 9.1 to 30 GHz with a 3 dB frequency cutoff at 8.2 GHz. It provides 1.5 dB passband insertion loss, 1.7:1 passband VSWR, 14.3 dB stopband rejection, 2.7:1 stopband VSWR, and 1.26W RF input power handling in the passband (0.25W in the stopband). XHF2-912+ is available off the shelf starting at $11.95 each (qty. 20).
Model XHF2-1162+ has a passband from 11.6 to 30 GHz with a 3 dB frequency cutoff at 10.4 GHz. It provides passband insertion loss from 1.0 to 1.6 dB, 2.0:1 passband VSWR, 13.6 dB stopband rejection, 2.7:1 stopband VSWR, and 1.26W RF input power handling in the passband (0.25W in the stopband). Model XHF2-1352+ has a passband from 13.5 to 30 GHz with a 3 dB frequency cutoff at 12.7 GHz. It provides passband insertion loss from 1.3 to 2.4 dB, 2.0:1 passband VSWR, 13.8 dB stopband rejection, 2.7:1 stopband VSWR, and 1.0W RF input power handling in the passband (0.15W in the stopband). Model XHF2-1832+ has a passband from 18.3 to 30 GHz with a 3 dB frequency cutoff at 17.5 GHz. It provides passband insertion loss from 1.3 to 2.1 dB, 1.7:1 passband VSWR, 14.0 dB stopband rejection, 2.8:1 stopband VSWR, and 0.32W RF input power handling in the passband (0.09W in the stopband).
